Enhancing HIV Prevention: Self-Dispensing Condom Machines to Improve Access
February 11, 2025In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2025, the Migration and Rights Lab (MRL), in partnership with Radix Consult and the Ghana Enterprises Agency, successfully organised a comprehensive Financial Literacy Workshop for women cocoa farmers. This initiative aligns with the global theme “Accelerate Action,” underscoring our commitment to promoting economic empowerment and gender equality.

The workshop engaged women cocoa farmers and traders from diverse backgrounds, equipping them with essential financial knowledge and practical skills to foster sustainable business growth and financial independence. Participants benefited significantly from the interactive sessions on budgeting, saving, credit management, and effective ways of accessing financial services.

Feedback from the participants highlighted the workshop’s immediate impact. One participant noted, “I already knew the importance of registering my business, but this training has clarified the steps even further, so I will now register my business officially.” Another attendee shared, “This programme made me realise clearly why separating personal and business finances is crucial. Now I understand why I must maintain separate accounts.”

The Migration and Rights Lab organised this critical event in partnership with Radix Consult and the Ghana Enterprises Agency, affirming our collective commitment to enhancing women’s economic opportunities and rights. We believe strongly that empowering women economically contributes to stronger, more resilient communities.
We are grateful to all our participants, partners, and collaborators for contributing to the success of this impactful initiative. Together, we continue accelerating action towards a more inclusive and equitable future for all women.
