The Migration and Rights Lab team is providing consulting support service to Barry Callebaut to review their child labor prevention and remediation activities in the cocoa supply chain in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Cameroon following their Zero Child Labor Roadmap. One of the Roadmap actions for Barry Callebaut is to redesign the activities to make them more child centric, gender sensitive and more impactful using a system strengthening approach. Child labor continuous to attract global concern thereby attracting a global discourse. Cocoa farming has significantly expanded over time and has been confounded with challenges of child labor, other child rights violations, and gender inequalities in the sector
